Sprint Unveils Easier Access to MySpace MobileDec 13, 2007 Sprint Nextel and MySpace have announced a partnership that will make it easier for Sprint's customers to access MySpace's mobile site from their mobile phones. Now Sprint customers will have a direct link to MySpace mobile as well as News Corp.'s other mobile sites, including FOXSports.com, RottenTomatoes, AskMen and Photobucket. MySpace's mobile site is currently in beta testing, and set to launch next year. Sprint also reportedly announced, at its developer conference, that as part of its planned WiMAX launch next year, it has "commitments" from partners for "new and innovative" WiMAX products, including "connection cards, Internet tablets, ultramobile PCs and other consumer electronic devices." Sprint also seems to be on track for its planned soft launch of WiMAX service, called Xohm, between now and Christmas in Chicago, Baltimore and Washington D.C. Sprint employees will test the service with planned commercial launches later in 2008. |
