Yahoo! Announces New Mobile Partnerships in Asia

Yahoo! announced nine new partnerships with mobile carriers across Asia that will help the Web company offer mobile services to more customers. The deals include mobile operators in India, Malaysia, Indonesia, Hong Kong and Singapore.

"Fostering and developing high quality partnerships is a cornerstone of our mobile strategy," David Ko, vice president and general manager of Connected Life Asia, Yahoo!, said in a statement. "Today's partnerships with leading operators across Asia add to Yahoo!'s incredible momentum in mobile and underscore our leadership in this important and growing market."

With these deals, Yahoo! now has distribution partnerships with 20 mobile operators around the world and its mobile offering Yahoo! OneSearch is currently available in 19 countries.
