AT&T to Sell Wireless Services at CostcoNov 12, 2007 AT&T has partnered with Wireless Advocates, the exclusive third-party provider of wireless phones and services throughout Costco warehouses, in order to offer AT&T wireless services at 370 Costco locations nationwide. According to a joint release, services will reach more than 35 million Costco cardholders. "Through our new agreement, we're able to deliver wireless customers even greater benefits, greater rewards and a new standard of convenience -- all at once," Glenn Lurie, president of National Distribution for AT&T's wireless division, said in a statement. "Costco is near the top among retail outlets in mobile phone activations, so we are positioned to better deliver the benefits of wireless services to a larger group of consumers. Partnering with Wireless Advocates will ensure that our products are sold with care and expertise and that customer service will be a top priority." AT&T and Wireless Advocates are now offering AT&T's wireless services at kiosks in each Costco store location. The kiosks are stocked with the carrier's leading handsets, including the Samsung A437 and A517. AT&T wireless service bought at the Costco kiosks will also offer a waived activation fee and accessory kit, including a vehicle power adapter, ear bud and wireless case. |
