HarperCollins Books Available for iPhone

HarperCollins announced that it will make sections of its book catalogue available for Apple's iPhone. The publishing house said it will release samples from 14 new titles in August and September. The iPhone-compatible versions will be available on HarperCollins mobile Website.

Samples from books to be made available for the iPhone include "The Burnt House" by Faye Kellerman; "Now and Forever" by Ray Bradbury; and "Obama" by David Mendell.

iPhone subscribers will be able to view the first 10 pages of the first and second chapters using the publisher's Browse Inside application. After reading the available samples, customers can choose to buy or pre-order the book from retailers.
