Saturday Night Live Mobile Launched on Cingular

LOS ANGELES (Hollywood Reporter) - Through a collaboration among NBC Universal, Cingular Wireless and "Saturday Night Live" creator Lorne Michaels' Broadway Video Entertainment, Saturday Night Live Mobile launched Tuesday, featuring video clips from classic and current episodes along with original material produced with the mobile screen in mind.

It is the first time footage from NBC's longest-running TV comedy has been made available on the platform, which is accessible to Cingular Video subscribers.

Content offerings will come from an evolving library of more than 100 video shorts, each two to three minutes in length. Content from the current season will be available the day after the Saturday night premiere.

Music Tone ringtones -- including the "SNL" theme song and memorable sketch lines -- will be available for $2.49 each, along with wallpaper graphics at $1.99 each.

To become a Cingular Video subscriber, consumers must purchase a 3G phone and sign up for the $19.99 MEdia Net Unlimited package.
