Verizon Bundles Unlimited Airtime

Oct 17, 2006

Verizon customers can now chat between their wireless phone and their house phone without having to worry about eating up airtime thanks to a new bundled plan from Verizon Communications. The Verizon Complete Freedom offering enables an unlimited number of calls from a Verizon Wireless handset to a Verizon home phone. The service is currently available in Texas.

The Verizon Complete Freedom service also enables customers to share one voicemail system and bundles service charges on one bill. To keep customers informed on newly received messages, the telecom operator is offering a wireless notification feature, which automatically sends a text message to Verizon Wireless handsets when a voice message is left.

Verizon Complete Freedom plans, which bundle home and wireless services, start at $99.94 a month.

More carriers are looking to give customers more options when it comes to their calling circles. T-Mobile USA recently introduced myFaves, an unlimited calling features that enables subscribers on select plans to choose up to five people to be part of their calling network, regardless of their carrier affiliation. The service also works with landline phone numbers, according to T-Mobile.

Alltel Wireless offers My Circle, which gives customers the ability to designate and call up to 10 numbers as much as they want for free. The plan also supports both wireless and wireline numbers, regardless of carrier network.
