Cellphone NewsLeap Offers Kyocera Music PhoneDec 7, 2005 Leap Wireless International is rolling out a new music phone selection to its Cricket customers, the Kyocera Slider Remix KX5 device. The handset features digital music, a 1.3-megapixel camera and a mobile phone, according to the carrier. The phone also features Bluetooth wireless connectivity, support for up to 512 MB of memory and 1-touch music access. The KX5 also features enhanced gaming capabilities. "The enhanced features and functionality of the Slider Remix coupled with its sleek design will appeal to a large number of our customers who are looking for the latest, coolest mobile handsets," says Nitu Arora, vice president of product development for Cricket. "We believe that Slider Remix will be especially popular with our growing number of customers who enjoy our unlimited picture and text messaging services." Cricket customers can get their hands on a Kyocera Slider Remix for $299.99. The company is offering a $100 mail-in rebate during the holiday selling season. Kyocera showcased the KX5 at the CTIA Wireless Entertainment show in September. |
