Cellphone NewsAskMeNow Launches Mobile Lifestyle NetworkNov. 1, 2005 AskMeNow is appealing to wireless users' need for instant information with the launch of its new AskMeNow mobile lifestyle network designed to provide answers to virtually any question. The service gives registered users the ability to send a question via text or phone it in and receive an answer. The service is not limited by a range of questions, but price varies depending on the question. AskMeNow provides answers to typical weather, stocks, directory assistance, directions and sports score questions free of charge. If a wireless user wants an answer to a question that does not fall within the company's automated template, however, the service costs 49 cents per question. An AnswerAgent will research the answer, AskMeNow says. A AskMeNow services are currently available on most major carriers, including Sprint Nextel, Cingular Wireless, T-Mobile USA and Verizon Wireless. All wireless carriers in Canada, according to AskMeNow, also support the service. Yesterday, the company announced it had retained the services of Agora Investor Relations Group to enable the company to communicate in real time with its shareholders through the AskMeNow IR HUB. As part of the agreement, Agora will be tasked with creating, implementing and executing an investor relations strategy for AskMeNow. AskMeNow is a wholly owned subsidiary of Oceans West Holding Corporation. |
