Boost Mobile Aims to Please Students

Oct. 11, 2005

Hoping to connect with students, Boost Mobile unveiled several new handsets, including the limited edition Baby Phat-branded Motorola i833.

The Motorola i833 was designed by "fashionista" Kim Lee Simons as a fashion accessory for young women. The handset features a baby-pink quilted surface, real diamond accents, a Baby Phat carry pouch and Kimora's signature. The handset is retailing for $249.99, after a $50 mail-in rebate.

For students looking to hold on to more of their money, Boost Mobile introduced to "value-priced" selections, the Motorola i415 and i450. The handsets feature color screens, Boost Multi-Media Messaging, text messaging, wireless Web, polyphonic and voice ringtones and Java-enabled games. The i415 and i450 retail for $79.99 and $99.99, respectively.

Earlier this month, Boost introduced the Motorola i835, as an exclusive offering. The handset, priced at $174.99, is preloaded with exclusive action sports and graffiti wallpapers, Java games, polyphonic and voice ringtones. The jet-black i835 comes equipped with applications such as TeleNav, which assists users in navigating to a destination using real-time visual and audible driving directions.
